Mission is a strong focus on First Christian Church. We are always looking for ways to support our community, whether through hands-on service, financial support, or through prayer and worship. We want others to know the love of God through our actions!
We give away more than 10% of all gifts to local, national, and international mission work. We figure if we expect your to consider a 10% tithe, we should too!
We consistently support Lafayette Urban Ministries, the YWCA, and Food Finders Inc. in Lafayette. Nationally and Internationally, we give a regular gift to the Disciples Missions Fund, which helps support the various ministries our our denomination. This money goes to support things like economic development over-seas, higher education and learning, immigration and refugee support, and more!
We serve our community by offering regular opportunities to go out into the world to help others.

We are always trying to leverage as many of our resources as possible to serve others in our community. That’s why we also host Narcotics Anonymous and Toastmasters. And we’d be open to hosting more groups whose missions align with ours, so let us know if you’re looking for space!
